Zoo Miami’s leaving its meerkat camera on to help you get through the COVID-19 quarantine!
Following Mayor González’s latest executive order, Zoo Miami has decided to close its doors to the public. But don’t worry all animal care will continue as usual! And the best part is they’re leaving their meerkat camera on for us to get our daily fix of those adorable little critters (😍)
Zoo Miami is closed until further notice. Essential staff will continue to report to work to ensure that all of the animals are receiving the same quality care they have always received and that care will continue without interruption.

The zoo set up the camera this past February to share views of the meerkats after the arrival of the first two meerkat pups to ever be born in the zoo. Now they’re leaving it on so we can still keep up with their adventures.
Oh yeah, remember the impossibly cute baby meerkats that used to look like this? *Fangirls internally 😍😭*
Well now they’re all grown up and the zoo just shared pictures of them receiving their neonatal exams. Look at how big they are now!
Though the zoo is closed to the public, animal care continues uninterrupted. Yesterday, our meerkat babies received their neonatal exams. Keep up with them via our Meerkat Cam: https://t.co/Nj5pwhgmAh

You can watch these lovely little creatures jump up and down, chase themselves around their enclosure or merely being meerkats by accessing Zoo Miami’s meerkat camera here!
As a huge meerkat fan and lover myself, I think I’ll be stuck to the screen to see what these incredibly awesome animals are up to each day! How about you?
