Known for their scrumptious sourdough pies, Eleventh Street Pizza is heading south to Downtown Dadeland this week for its second Miami outpost and it’s quite an exciting expansion.
Since its launch in 2021, the pizzeria’s Downtown Miami location has been among the best slice shops in the city. Following a motto of #PizzaAndLove, they offer Neo-New York-style dishes, slices and whole pies, as well as naturally-leavened Sicilian square pies.
The new location nearly doubles in size to the original, with more than 20 indoor seats and 20 outdoor seats. And to celebrate the grand opening on Thursday, May 18th, the first 50 customers who turn up in line will be handed a free cheese pizza pie, starting at 4 p.m.
“My goal with Eleventh Street Pizza from day one has been to enrich the Miami dining scene with a concept that combines the best of two worlds: the New York style pizzas I grew up eating, made with the highest quality ingredients that are also organic,” says restaurateur David Foulquier, a born-and-bred New Yorker who co-owns the restaurant with his brother Joshua and partner Danielle Hultman under the brothers’ company, We All Gotta Eat Hospitality Group. “Being able to spread our mantra of pizza and love to Downtown Dadeland, in a larger space, is an exciting progression that we hope to continue throughout South Florida.”
Eleventh Street’s baking process begins with a sourdough “mother” that has been nurtured for seven years. The dough is fermented for 48 hours, then hand-pulled and tossed to form their shapes. Its menu offers a variety of classic ‘zas like The Classic Cheese – where you can add toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms, pepperoncini peppers and even locally made burrata – The Brooklyn Cheese with sauce on top and the Pepperoni & Hot Honey.
There’s also a Wild Shroom pie covered in crimini mushrooms, caramelized onions and sourdough breadcrumbs, as well as La Provençal, with zucchini, confit garlic, Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, roasted red onions and pepperoncini.
Starters round out the pizza experience and include a Spicy Caesar salad, New York Style sourdough Garlic Knots, and their signature meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, served with organic Bianco DiNapoli tomato sauce. There will also be a selection of beer and wine offerings for diners to choose from, with a happy hour that is yet to come.
You can find Eleventh Street Pizza in Dadeland at 9025 SW 72nd Place, Miami, FL, 33156. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
