7. Have a laugh at Miami Improv
This weekend, from May 19-21, Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Jeremy Piven brings his stand-up to the Doral comedy club. Known for his roles in film and TV, Piven has transitioned to the world of comedy and has been wow-ing audiences across the U.S. and beyond with his tour. The Miami Improv is the perfect stop with its intimate setting and energetic atmosphere.
8. Check out Eleventh Street Pizza’s newest location
The only thing better than Eleventh Street Pizza are TWO Eleventh Street Pizzas! The NY-style pizzeria is celebrating its second Miami outpost opening in Dadeland, which will nearly double in size to its sister location in Downtown with more than 20 indoor seats and 20 outdoor seats. South Bar & Kitchen has finally opened! Situated in Downtown Pompano Beach, as part of the revitalization of the Old Town area, the restaurant is a Southern American concept boasting a heavy Louisiana influence. With an inviting ambiance, the restaurant is home to a community patio with a shipping container bar embellished with murals painted by local artists, and a custom-designed meat smoker that infuses the food with a rich smoky taste.
10. Attend Downtown Doral’s Spring Foodie Festival
The first-ever Spring Foodie Festival is taking over Downtown Doral this Sunday, May 21st! From noon to 4 p.m., you can embark on a foodie adventure and visit participating restaurants, exchanging a ticket from your “Foodie Pass” for a sample of food, dessert or a drink. Participating restaurants include Pura Vida, Sweet Paris, The Doral Yard and much more!
11. Shop for a good cause at Miami Design District
The Bazaar For Good is partnering with Style Saves this year for its annual charity shopping event in the Miami Design District on May 19! One hundred percent of the proceeds from the charity event will benefit the annual Style Saves Back to School event (which provides uniforms and school supplies to thousands of students across South Florida) and several other global non-profit organizations. Expect discounted designer brands, and interactive experiences and conversations moderated by Valeria Lipovesky.
