The Gasolina singer has put his private residence in Puerto Rico up on Airbnb and we’ve already started packing!
If you’re planning a trip to Puerto Rico (and if you aren’t then maybe you should maybe consider planning one) and you’re looking for a place to stay then you might want to head on over to Airbnb because you could book your stay at the house of DA-DDY YAN-KEE!!
The king of reggaeton recently put his house in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, up on Airbnb for everyone to rent while he’s on vacation and reservations open on Monday, December 6!
¡oye! @daddy_yankee is offering fans la oportunidad of a lifetime—to stay in his personal home in luquillo 🇵🇷
The rapper is opening the doors to his private residence as a way of saying gracias to his fans with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “From the space itself to the captivating scenery of Luquillo, I hope while I’m away you experience a taste of my Puerto Rican heritage, and see why it’s the place I go to get away from it all.” reads a note from Daddy Yankee on the Airbnb listing.
The mansion is located in the neighborhood of Luquillo also known as La Capital del Sol (the Sun Capital) and which is said to have some of the absolute best beaches on the island — but honestly, even if they weren’t the best ones, the house is still pretty darn amazing!
Daddy Yankee’s “Puerto Rican Reggaetón Retreat” features a bedroom, one-and-a-half bathrooms, a pool table, an outdoor pool, and a concierge that will attend to your every need once you check-in and are greeted by Daddy Yankee virtually.
Some other highlights of the stay also include the vibrant reggaeton-inspired decor by local designer Fernando Rodriguez, access to Yankee’s private memorabilia including his vast awards collection, a private volleyball court, and a “locals only” guide created by Daddy Yankee with recommended local restaurants and bars, and other spots to visit nearby (maybe we should get him on board for a Secret Luquillo) as well as a specially-curated playlist featuring the rapper’s all-time favorite songs.
Bookings will open at 1 p.m. EST on Monday, December 6, and will be available for 3 individual one-night stays on December 13, 15, and 17 at $85 the night. All proceeds will be donated to PRo Techos, a Puerto Rican non-profit dedicated to rebuilding roofs and providing carpentry training in underserved Puerto Rican communities that are still undergoing infrastructure work as a result of the damage caused by Hurricane Irma, Maria, and subsequent disasters.
“My mountain home in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, reminds me of all the things I love about this beautiful island and its people. During your stay, I encourage you to explore the rich heritage and history of the area, where the culture and weather are equally hot. As your Host, we’ve taken special care to customize the space to reflect Reggaetón aesthetic and the vibrance of this town.”
