We hope you remember where you stashed away your favorite fall jacket because temperatures are dropping this week! A strong cold front has brought cooler and drier air to Florida, reaching all the way to Miami and it’s beginning today.
That’s right! Cold weather (by our standards) has arrived. Are we seriously getting a much-needed taste of the perfect fall? Will we get another temperature drop this winter?
South Florida temperatures are dipping into the mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service:
10/19 – Comfortable conditions are being observed this morning as dry and cooler air arrives behind the cold front. Here are the latest dew point and temperature values as of 4am. In fact, it actually hasn’t been this chilly since April!
Good morning!
It will be a muggy and fairly stormy start to the week. However, things will change by mid-week as a cold front moves through the area Tue/Wed, bringing the coolest temperatures we have seen in about 6 months! #Flwx pic.twitter.com/Vk0jhwhzNV

As expected, there is a high chance of rain and clouds before the cool-down. It’ll be an even cooler Thursday, where temperatures are expected to drop in the 60s. Thursday night and Friday night will get a little warmer, but not yet in the 70s, according to the weather service.
However, by the weekend, things should be back up to the 80s during the day and 70s at night. This is Florida, after all.
