The 2022 FIFA World Cup final is nearly upon us, as the remaining teams compete for one of sports’ most coveted titles. And while you’ve probably been enjoying the games from the comfort of your home or at your favorite bar, wouldn’t you rather be watching it on the beach?
This weekend, David Beckham’s Haig Club and Ballyhoo Media are partnering up to host a viewing party for the World Cup in true Miami fashion — on the sands of Virginia Key Beach with massive 60 ft. floating LED screens. Sure to be the most memorable watch party in South Florida, cheer for Messi or Mbappé while rubbing shoulders with friends, family and other fans.
In addition to watching the game alongside a lineup of food curated by Miami’s own renowned foodie, Dana Rozansky of Miami Food Porn, fans will also have the luxury of ready-to-drink whiskey beverages offered by Haig Club, Budweiser beer, vodka by NUTRL and more thanks to the open bar! CELSIUS Energy Drinks and Topo Chico will also be complimentary for attendees.
If you want to keep busy during half-time or channel all of your excitement elsewhere, there will be a full 360° Fútbol experience to make guests feel like they’re at the stadium, with special activities like soccer zones and surprise activations.
And, of course, no party is complete without music, so local DJ Douza will be spinning Miami’s favorite jams.
To keep the beach clean, the event will be fully eco-friendly, including a clean-up hosted by Debris Free Oceans with support from Miami Waterkeeper.
The World Cup festivities will kick off at 9 a.m., prior to game time at 10 a.m., streaming live from the World Cup in Qatar at Historic Virginia Key (4020 Virginia Beach Dr, Miami, FL 33149) on Sunday, December 18. For more information and tickets, click here to visit their website.
