Rhythm Portal, a musical experience where the technology of sound merges with the soothing aspect of nature, has returned to Miami for its second edition and is now presenting its second season finale! Rhythm Portal is inspired by Argentine percussion group, “La Bomba de Tiempo”. The acclaimed band created by Santiago Vazquez performed at Buenos Aires’s Konex Center every Monday, constantly selling out for the last 15 years — and it’s their ‘rhythm with signs’ method that makes Rhythm Portal so special. Led by artistic director Andy Inchausti, 11 musicians from around the world come together on one stage to improvise. Rhythm Portal is an immersive experience transporting you to distant lands: a warm hug at the heart of the Center for Subtropical Affairs.
Don’t miss out on this multicultural series of performances!
The Center for Subtropical Affairs is an ecological learning center in Little River that provides jobs and career training in the field of sustainable development. The venue works with students to improve their knowledge on environmental education and health, bridging the gap between sustainability and cultural arts programming. And it’s the location’s beautiful outdoor botanical gardens that will host Rhythm Portal’s performances!
The experience takes place on Saturday, April 15 and Saturday, April 19 starting at 8:00pm. Want to know what to expect? Here’s a detailed schedule of the night ahead:
