Snow in Miami?! What fresh dark arts are at play, we hear you ask.
Not quite magic, or global warming (yet), is the answer. But instead, a large artificial snow park is coming to Miami. An alpine park, which is claiming to use real snow, is in the works, promising to land here in November 2020. [Main Image: @snowcatridge].

On top of the slopes included, you’ll be able to build snowmen and hurl snowballs as if you were in Alaska. It is said to feature a 10,000 square foot snow dome, as well as a snow tubing hill and alpine village.
Dade City’s “Snowcat Ridge” attraction will boast the 60 feet tall and 400 feet long snow tube. This will feature a magic carpet that customers can take to the top before bolting down the icy hill. There will also be a small slope for children in the dome, and a light show that illuminates the park at night.
“Snowcat Ridge will be unlike anything anyone else has seen before in the Sunshine State” said Benjamin Nagengast, CEO of the project, in a statement. “We are incredibly excited to unveil our vision for the new alpine snow park today.”
And, we know these standards are high, but we hope the new spot can provide as much joy as this photo of a cat facing a ridge. No pressure, guys.

So, if all goes to plan, we can expect a white Christmas in Miami come next winter. Catch us at the top of the tube in November.
