A jungle garden meets boho hideout, Gitano’s rooftop terrace is the perfect haven for wanderlusters.
Sure, all wanderlusters are driven by an innate desire to explore and travel to new and different places. But what if we told you, you could satisfy your unquenchable desire for traveling without having to leave the 305? Located inside Casa Faena, an enchanting, vintage Spanish mansion in Miami Beach, Gitano offers a modern take on the Spanish-Colonial towns of Yucatan that will have you feeling like you’ve just been transported to the jungles of Mexico.
While the dining room and terraces are certainly out of this world gorgeous, it’s Gitano’s jungle roof that will really make you feel like you’ve been whisked away to the stunning jungle of Tulum. In it, you’ll wine and dine engulfed by luscious greenery, rustic decor, and twinkling lights that make the experience all the more enchanting.
The place also has a fun open-air dancing floor with a twinkling disco ball, and its very own tropical tipis where you can soak up the sun and beautiful ocean views during the day and nuzzle up with some fresh cocktails by night.
The jungle vibes, however, are just one part of the experience. To complement the leafy surroundings, Gitano’smenu offers a modern take on Mexican cuisine with options like young coconut ceviche, fresh watermelon salad, market fish wrapped in banana leaf, and some unmissable churros with jalapeño chocolate and smoked agave caramel for dessert.
Also on the menu is Gitano’s incredible array of Yucatan-inspired cocktails with options like “El Jaguar” featuring Tequila, Mezcal, St.Germain, green Chartreuse, chlorophyll, lime, and chili, or “Jungle Fever” a spicy concoction of mezcal married with sweet jarabe, cilantro leaves, and chile.
Gitano Miami Beach’s restaurant, bar, and jungle roof are currently open for dinner from 6 to 11 p.m., Wednesday through Thursday, and require prior reservations which you can book by heading online to Gitano’s website.
