As usual, Miami Art Week and Art Basel are shaping up to be a busy time of year for the city. If you’ve been stressing about how you’re going to navigate the streets during this crazy, art-fueled week, the City of Miami Beach is coming to the rescue! The city’s free water taxi service is returning to whisk passengers between downtown Miami and South Beach.
🚤 About the complimentary water taxis
Beginning December 1, up to seven taxi vessels will be sailing across Biscayne Bay every 15 minutes between Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (1790 Purdy Avenue) and the Venetian Marina & Yacht Club (1635 North Bayshore Drive).
The service will run through December 6 from 10 a.m. to midnight. On Sunday, December 7, the boats will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
To really alleviate traffic nightmare, the city is also bringing back a series of free shuttles that perfectly link up with the water taxis and several major art fairs. You can hop aboard a shuttle (running every 15 minutes) and even track it in real time on www.ArtWeekMB.com.
