The Miami Grand Prix isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! Formula 1 has announced a 10-year contract extension that will keep the race in Miami Gardens until at least 2041. The new deal makes Miami the longest-contracted race on the F1 calendar, surpassing the Australian Grand Prix, which is slated to stay in Melbourne through 2037.
There are two other races in the U.S. — Austin and Las Vegas — as the sport continues to expand its national presence. F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said Miami is “one of the most important and spectacular events on our calendar.”
He added, “Extending this agreement until 2041 is a strategic milestone of enormous importance, which strengthens our presence in America and consolidates the ever-deepening bond with our fan base there, which is constantly growing and passionate like never before.”
“From day one, our goal has been to create a world-class race that also reflects the spirit of Miami — vibrant, inclusive and culturally significant. This long-term commitment allows us to continue innovating, investing in the fan experience and deepening our impact across South Florida,” said Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami GP.
Held at the Hard Rock Stadium since 2022, the F1 Miami Grand Prix welcomes thousands of fans from across the globe for the thrilling action on the track as well as off it. Organizers say the race has generated more than $1 billion in economic impact across its first three runnings.
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won this year’s race, clinching his third consecutive victory and fourth win of the season. You can stay up to date on F1 Miami news, photos and more on their website.
