
We’re less than a year away from international baseball’s most exciting tournament, the 2026 World Baseball Classic, and we couldn’t be happier! Miami has once again been selected as a host city for all three rounds of the games, playing a key role in every step of the event, including the championship round. And now, the finalized groups and schedule have been revealed! Read on for what to know.
When is the 2026 World Baseball Classic?
The Classic will run from March 5 to 17, 2026, with the opening round scheduled to take place on March 5 through 11 and the final on March 17 in Miami.
Where is the World Baseball Classic taking place?
The 2026 tournament will take place at the Miami Marlins’ home stadium, loanDepot park, as well as Minute Maid Park in Houston, Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico and the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Which teams have been pooled together?
Next year’s World Baseball Classic will feature four pools of five teams, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the quarterfinals. Pool A will be played in San Juan (March 6-11) and will feature the following teams: Puerto Rico, Cuba, Canada, Panama and Colombia.
Pool B will also be played in Houston (6-11), with United States, Mexico, Italy, Great Britain and Brazil teams. Tokyo will host Pool C’s (March 5-10) Japan, Australia, Korea, Czechia and Chinese Taipei.
And lastly, Pool D games will be played in Miami (March 6-11), featuring teams Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Israel and Nicaragua.

How to get tickets to the 2026 Classic
Tickets to the World Baseball Classic are not currently on sale, but officials state that they will be announced at a later date. Those wanting to attend can register on the WBC website to stay up-to-date on news and exclusive priority access before tickets go on sale.
