Get ready, Miami! The absolutely iconic Italian marketplace is planning its first Florida location and its opening in none other than Aventura Mall. As reported by the Miami New Times, Eataly is looking to debut inside a three-story location in what could be a “matter of months.”
The publication said a source confirmed the news on Tuesday, July 9, and that the food hall is currently in the permitting process. And according to the City of Aventura’s list of development records, the building permit request for Eataly North America was “under review” as of May 1.
It would cover approximately 29,000 square feet of space and, like other locations, feature a restaurant, retail store and service counters all under one roof. You’ll find everything from pasta to cured meats, fabulous cheeses and olive oils, Roman-style pizza, paninis, coffee and more.
Miami would join the list of 40 Eataly locations nationwide, which includes New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, as well as Moscow and Tokyo. The upcoming location would be found inside the mall at 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Unit 3004, in Aventura.
