Rev up your engines Miamians a new drive-in movie theatre has rolled into town!
If there’s one thing we can thank the pandemic for is for bringing back the awesome, retro drive-ins! 2020 was certainly the year of the drive-in and 2021 looks like it will carry on the legacy with plenty of more fabulous drive-ins coming to the Magic City and that includes Nite Owl in Downtown Miami!
The 60,000-foot-square Nite Owl drive-in open earlier in January and has been screening pretty much all of your favorite classics. These go all the way from family favorites like The Lion King and the Star Wars trilogies to horror movies like Silence of the Lambs to the latest releases like Tenet.
The new drive-in has space for 70 cars and features an awesome 53-foot screen that can withstand category 5 hurricanes and an airstream trailer that doubles as a 4K laser projector. To tune into the audio all you need do is tune in to an FM radio — that way there’ll be no disturbing the surrounding neighbors!
Nite Owl shows two movies each night and each car space reservation at Nite Owl includes 2 passengers and snacks for two, which you can purchase while booking your spot. To keep everything running smoothly, passengers must remain inside the cars with the engines off. No fold chairs are allowed.
This week Nite Owl Drive-In is showing Silence of the Lambs and Vertigo on Monday, February 1. So what do you say, are you down for a movie night??
