The sun may be shining, but come winter, one thing sure to brighten our holiday spirits is one of the city’s most beloved festive experiences, Santa’s Enchanted Forest. At least that’s been the case for most years. The famed holiday theme park has confirmed that it won’t be returning for 2024.
Santa’s Enchanted Forest posted the following message on Instagram Tuesday morning:
“Santa’s Enchanted Forest will be closed for the 2024 season as we reflect on four magical decades of cherished memories and plans for the future. As a beloved South Florida tradition, we have been honored to be part of countless family celebrations, filling the air with twinkling lights, laughter, and holiday spirit.”
“While we won’t be welcoming visitors this year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for being an integral part of our journey,” the message continues. “Your support has been the true magic behind our story. As you celebrate the holidays this season, we hope you’ll carry with you the warmth of the memories we’ve created together.”
For the last 41 years, the holiday attraction has blessed Miami families with sparkling trees, scrumptious eats, amusement rides, spectacular shows and a whopping 90-foot Christmas tree that synchronized to music. It spent decades at Tropical Park before moving to Hialeah Park and ultimately finding its place in Medley.
While the reason for this year’s cancellation was not revealed, come 2025, we’ll hopefully be basking in festive cheer at the park. But for now, you’ll need to make different arrangements on where to get your holiday jollies.
