It’s no secret why Miami Spice is our favorite time of year. Yes, it’s the perfect excuse to expand our palates and try out the city’s newest restaurants, but it also means that those top-tier dining destinations we’ve been dreaming about have finally come within our price range!
Organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), this annual foodie fest unlocks three-course prix fixe menus from some of the most acclaimed chefs for as low as $40. From upscale fine dining at Hakkasan and vegan dishes at Issabella’s to authentic Cuban comfort food at Cafe La Trova, there’s something to satisfy every diner.
There’s even Michelin-worthy eateries like Cote Miami, Beauty and the Butcher and Le Jardinier, and some first-time participants include Bagatelle Miami River and The Mexican on Brickell Key.
What began in 2002 as a modest culinary initiative with just 56 participating restaurants has blossomed into one of the city’s most anticipated annual traditions. So make some room in your calendar (and your stomach) because here’s everything you need to know about navigating Miami Spice this year, which celebrates its milestone 25th anniversary!

The two-month-long culinary program runs from August 1 to September 30.
What kinds of deals do restaurants offer during Miami Spice?
More than 300 participating restaurants will feature three-course prix fixe menus at the following prices:
- Lunch and brunch: $40
- Dinner: $50 or $65
These menus include an appetizer, entree and dessert, and for the first time ever, Miami Spice is introducing a “Reserve” tier starting at $95 for splurge-worthy dining experiences that go above and beyond the standard menus.
Which restaurants are participating in this year’s Miami Spice?
Every year, hundreds of spots roll out special menus with discounted rates for the culinary event. You can browse the full list of 300+ restaurants spanning over 30 Miami neighborhoods on the GMCVB website. Filter by day of the week, type of cuisine, neighborhood, dietary needs and more.
Do I need a reservation for Miami Spice?
Absolutely! Because Miami Spice is popular, reservations are highly recommended, and sometimes explicitly required depending on the restaurant. You should expect well-known places to fill up quickly — especially during weekends — so it is best to book in advance.
When you reserve, always confirm that the restaurant is offering their Miami Spice menu the day of your visit, and mention that you’ll be dining for the program when doing so.
Dining with a purpose
Commemorating 25 years, the event has a philanthropic angle. When you pay for your meal, you’ll have the option to add a small donation. The GMCVB is matching the first $25,000 raised by diners, with all proceeds going to Camillus House to help transform lives in the community. Diners may also donate online.
