After last year’s viral campaign to “break up” with spring break, Miami Beach has yet another message for spring breakers, this time giving them a dose of reality.
Titled “Miami Beach Spring Break Reality Check”, the video posted Tuesday to City of Miami Beach TV parodies a reality TV show by following a group of young people coming down to have a raucous party before realizing the city isn’t playing around.
It ends with an emphasis on previously-implemented spring break rules, such as $100 parking fees, curfews, heavy police presence, security and DIU checkpoints.
The video was also posted to X by the official City of Miami Beach account, with the caption reading, “Consider this your reality check. Spring Break and Miami Beach don’t mix.”
