Get ready for a day fueled by adrenaline, sweat and major milestones! The countdown is officially on for the 24th edition of the Life Time Miami Marathon and Half, returning to our streets on January 25th. Whether you’re hitting the pavement or cheering from the sidelines, this iconic event is set to welcome over 20,000 athletes and fans from across the globe.
The full marathon features a 26.2-mile route of the city’s most stunning vistas, while the half marathon covers a scenic 13.1 miles. Both races culminate in an epic finish at Bayfront Park.
If you were hoping to snag a bib for the main events, it’s unfortunately a bit late as the marathon and half have officially sold out at their 18,500-participant cap. Here is your essential guide to navigating one of the year’s best endurance events.
Race day schedule

The action kicks off early at the Kaseya Center (601 Biscayne Blvd). Runners will cross the finish line at Bayfront Park to receive a custom-designed finisher’s medal.
- 5 a.m.: Start line access opens
- 5:45 a.m.: Opening Ceremony
- 6 a.m.: Race Start (Marathon and Half)
- 8:30 a.m.: Half Marathon Elite Awards (Bayfront Park)
- 10 a.m.: Full Marathon Elite Awards (Bayfront Park)

Both races begin with a trek across the MacArthur Causeway into Miami Beach, hitting Ocean Drive before looping back via the Venetian Causeway. Traffic and road closures
Expect significant closures along the route from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plan your morning commute accordingly:

If you need to get in or out of Miami Beach between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., use the Julia Tuttle Causeway. The Port of Miami will remain accessible via NE 5th Street.
Not running? You can still be part of the race. Locals aged 13 and up can sign up to volunteer, assisting with water stations, course spotting or handing out those hard-earned medals.
