This year marks 250 years of independence for the United States, a milestone that’s turning the city’s Fourth of July into a burst of oversized festivities, from epic fireworks to block parties and special exhibitions.
For one South Beach restaurant, visitors could be treated to a free drink on its patio!
Beginning at 7 p.m. on July 4th, an Aperol Spritz Cart will roll onto the lush outdoor space of Italian lounge Leonardo, where the first 250 guests will receive a commemorative glow stick to exchange for a complimentary spritz. Once redeemed, the bartender will crack the glow stick and hand it back, leaving visors with a festive keepsake to wave around for the rest of the night!
You can expect live music, $40 bottles of Lallier Champagne and special dinner options before strolling just steps to the sand to watch the city’s 9 p.m. fireworks at Lummus Park. Start with dishes like Tartare di Tonno with Florida mango or Carpaccio di Manzo, before enjoying creamy Burrata and housemade pastas. Then embrace the “blue” with a shareable Seafood Tower, Whole Branzino, Dover Sole and other coastal favorites, all paired with Italian cocktails.
After the dazzling light show, head back to Leonardo for dimmed lights, louder music and the restaurant’s signature late-night atmosphere as the evening goes on.
