Miami’s bar scene is truly intoxicating, am I right? The World’s 50 Best has once again named a Little Havana eatery as one of the best bars in North America.
Shortly after unveiling its inaugural 51-100 list, the publication announced the results of the 50 Best Bars Awards 2025 during a live ceremony in Vancouver. And coming in at number 13, just like last year, is Miami’s own Cafe La Trova.
In fact, only one local bar made the top 50 list! A collaboration between celebrated bartender Julio Cabrera and James Beard-winner Michelle Bernstein, Cafe La Trova delivers retro Cuban charm through handcrafted cocktails like the Mojito Criollo and Chivirico. The Caribbean atmosphere is brought to life by their esteemed team of cantineros and exquisite dishes like the buñuelos de bacalao and mojo-marinated lechon.

“Typically, the bartenders are busy throwing Hotel Nacionals (rum, apricot liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice) through the air or dramatically shaking Daiquiri Clásico (rum, lime juice, sugar),” the publication writes. “Yet, the dinner jacket-uniformed staff also find time to pick up maracas and play along with the house Son Cubano band.”
