If you can’t go to the club then the club will come to you!
Restaurants, bars, clubs, beaches, parks, they all may have closed down but that won’t stop us from having a great time here in Miami (especially now that Ultra was been canceled). Over the weekend, residents of SLS Brickell brought the party out to their balconies and honestly, it was lit!
Complete with flashing disco lights and roaring music the balconies at the SLS turned into a giant, “multi-story,” outdoor club that proves Miami is the life of the party, even when we’re stuck at home. Following the example of our Italian and Spanish comrades who don’t shy away from balcony parties either, these Brickell residents put on a complex-wide party that was probably the most Miami thing we could do during these times. People cheered in unison and danced the night away on their balconies—some even brought out their colorful disco lights for everyone else’s enjoyment!
But residents at the SLS Brickell weren’t the only ones getting involved in a bit of balcony entertainment. This man in Aventura gave a soulful concert to his neighbors. Standing in his balcony, he played the saxophone while many in the neighboring complexes came out to hear and enjoy his beautiful rendition of Lennon’s Imagine.
Social distancing and staying at home are essential to beating the current COVID-19 crisis but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy some good ol’ Miami-style partying! So stay home and stay safe Miamians pero que no pare la fiesta! Don’t stop the party!
