Longtime basketball fans and sneakerheads have something very exciting to look forward to with the return of the Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Bred.” Back for its 40th anniversary, this 2025 release features the shoe’s signature black and red colorway and stays true to its original 1985 design.
Making for a truly nostalgic product, not to mention one of the most iconic and beloved shoes in basketball and pop culture, a very limited number of pairs will be making their way to North American retailers — 23, to be exact!
Here’s what you need to know to get your hands on these timeless sneakers on release day.
When will the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 “Bred” be released?
The sneaker is set to be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025. It also marks the start of NBA All-Star Weekend (Feb. 14-16), which holds special significance as it was this same shoe that Michael Jordan wore during the 1985 NBA Dunk Contest.
How much will it cost?
The AJ 1 “Bred” will be available in men’s sizing for $250 and toddler sizing for $75. At $250, the price point is just a pinch higher than the usual $180 asking price for similar versions of the silhouette.
Where will the sneaker be available?
Unlike other Jordan Brand releases, the shoe won’t be available online via Nike’s system SNKRS. Instead, it’ll land on the shelves of select retail locations across the U.S., including Miami. The Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 “Bred” be available at the following local stores:
- Shoe Gallery, 1060 NE 79th St, Miami, FL 33138
- SoleFly (Top Door), 8099 S Dixie Hwy #2, Miami, FL 33143
SoleFly is currently putting on an online raffle on their Instagram, in which the winners can pick up the shoes in-store.
