Giant glowing elephants, more than a million dazzling tree lights and a magnificent 26-foot LED holiday tree…. These are but a few wondrous things you’ll find at Zoo Miami’s dazzling winter wonderland, Zoo Lights. Originally scheduled to end in December, the zoo has added two extra nights on January 6 and 7 for an additional weekend of the holiday light experience that’s a favorite of both kids and adults!
Walk through larger-than-life animal lanterns and tree lights, making for a totally unique tour of the zoo by night. The spectacular sights are spread across the expansive zoo, taking you through a landscape of hippos and life-sized giraffes and under the sea with starfish and jellies that change colors.
But the fun doesn’t end there! Some of the adventures that await at Zoo Lights’ magical wonderland include Snowman’s River Boat Rides, special animal appearances, arts and crafts and more wondrous fun.
And if you thought their special themed nights throughout the event were over, think again. Encouraging visitors to participate by donning their best Star Wars, Star Trek, or Guardians of the Galaxy outfit, Galactic Nights will return on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Zoo Lights will be open on January 7 and 6 from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Zoo Miami is located at 12400 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33177.
