It’s safe to say working from home is pretty cozy and convenient, but we all need a change of scenery every now and then. How does answering emails and taking Zoom calls from the ballpark sound? Well, the Miami Marlins are offering fans the unique opportunity to bring their laptops to one of this week’s games.
You see, the Marlins take on the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday at 12:10 p.m. That’s right in the middle of a weekday and for those of us working during that time, it would be a bummer to miss all the action.
But there’s no need to take the day off! Embracing “work from anywhere,” the MLB team is inviting baseball enthusiasts and workaholics alike to bring along their laptops for a chance to catch the ballgame while cheering in between emails.
Not only is it a great team bonding opportunity and an excellent way to get to know your coworkers, you can pitch up with your laptops for the day and work with prime views of the field! Not only that, but those who make loanDepot park their ‘work office’ for the day will benefit from a designated workstation in The Social and plenty of power outlets, as well as $20 in Food & Beverage Credit that is included with each ticket.
Of course, laptop bags are usually not allowed at the park, but there will be an exception to their bag policy. They’ll be allowed through the Bobby Maduro Entrance.
The Marlins vs. Phillies game takes place on Thursday, August 3, at 12:10 p.m. loanDepot Park is located at 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL 33125. For more information and tickets, visit Marlins.com/Work.
