If the byline wasn’t enough of a giveaway… Wave sells pretty much everything you can imagine made entirely of sushi, including Flamin-Hot sushi burgers, hotdogs and tacos (😱). So before you go moaning and groaning about the 3 almost 4-hour car ride up to Mount Dora, let me give you 10 delicious reasons as to why Wave Asian Bistro is totally and absolutely worth the car ride up to Mount Dora.

First, there’s the sushi fries, the perfect starter to any sushi extravaganza. Wave’s fries come topped with spicy crab, scallions, eel sauce and spicy mayo. They’re absolutely gorgeous!

Then comes the sushi pizza. For when you’re craving sushi, but pizza is LIFE. These slices of sushi heaven give a whole new meaning to stuffed-crust pizza with their maki roll “crusts.” They come in several amazing flavors including a veggie one and a spicy crab and tuna one that, not gonna lie, kinda looks like a slice of pepperoni.

If you’re a junk food fan, then there’s Wave’s regular sushi burgers, which consists of two rice buns (regular or deep-fried) stuffed full of greens, seaweed salad and your choice of spicy tuna, salmon, crab or chicken katsu.

What you probably hadn’t guessed yet, is that they also have Flamin’ Hot Tacos!! These babies (like all the other tacos at Wave) are part of their secret menu and they’re only available on Tuesday. As they should be.

By now I hope to have given you enough reasons to make the trip up to Mount Dora. But if not, let me tell you, that besides all of the above, Wave also has an incredibly wide selection of more traditional sushi rolls, it has bao buns, poke bowls and sushi nachos!
