We hope you’ve saved some room for dessert because Van Leeuwen is finally coming to Miami Beach! The beloved ice cream brand, known for its creamy French-style flavors and vegan options, is officially opening its first Miami shop on Thursday, March 20th.
Serving everything from Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie and Marionberry Cheesecake to Pistachio, there’s a flavor everyone will enjoy! The new location will debut their newest flavor — Key Lime Pie — while also offering seasonal flavors for spring that include White Chocolate Raspberry Brownie, Blue Jasmine Passionfruit Swirl and Mango Sticky Rice.

In addition to sundaes, milkshakes, waffle cones and ice cream sandwiches, Van Leeuwen enthusiasts can also expect popular vegan offerings like Banana Bread Pudding, Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb and Strawberry Shortcake.
What to expect on opening day
In honor of the grand opening, the brand will be giving away limited-edition totes to the first 100 customers, beginning at 12 p.m. on opening day. Also on March 20th, between noon and 2 p.m., guests can take advantage of flavorful scoops for just $1!
In true Van Leeuwen fashion — much like their famous collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter and Jimmy Butler’s BIGFACE Coffee — the brand is partnering with Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop to debut a limited-time Key Lime Pie Sundae. This treat will be available exclusively at the Miami Beach location while supplies last.
About Van Leeuwen

The brand began as a yellow ice cream truck on the streets of NYC in 2008 by Ben Van Leeuwen, Pete Van Leeuwen and Laura O’Neill. It has since gained a cult following for its ultra creamy frozen treats (made with twice the amount of egg yolks as standard ice cream), innovative vegan options and unexpected collaborations. Van Leeuwen’s Miami Beach shop is actually their first Florida location and one of four planned scoop shops in South Florida!
“The energy, hustle, and grit of Miami make its connection to New York undeniable, and its passion for great food makes it a natural fit for us. We can’t wait to start scooping and welcome everyone in for good ice cream that makes you feel good,” co-founder and CEO Ben Van Leeuwen said.
Van Leeuwen can be found at 1600 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, opening its doors daily to serve scoops, sundaes and pints to-go. Opening day hours on March 20 will be 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., while standard operating hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday to Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Thursday to Saturday.
