Miami is no stranger to high-end steakhouses, but the latest addition to our city’s dining scene is something truly special. Straight from Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, Maple & Ash is one of the country’s highest grossing restaurants and has just set up shop at Miami Worldcenter.

At 22,000 square feet and spread across two stories, the latest venture is what Maple Hospitality Group calls its “largest and boldest project yet.” The group, led by chef Danny Grant and managing partner Jim Lasky, is also behind acclaimed concepts like Eight Bar, Monarch and Kessaku.
What to expect
Maple & Ash Miami takes visual inspiration from its sophisticated Chicago and Arizona outposts alongside tropical touches, like a glittering palm tree centerpiece with more than 10,000 crystal beads. The space is divided into several areas such as the Bar Lounge, Dining Room, The Salon and The Atrium, which features the palm chandelier.

An open kitchen offers a full view of chefs working with the wood-burning hearth and inviting “nooks” give diners personalized experiences like chef interactions and a cozy space to enjoy champagne, caviar and Jamon Iberico.
Menu
Despite its wood-fired steakhouse flair, its menu guarantees something for every palate. There’s the “I Don’t Give a F*@k” tasting menu, which gives guests the choice to surrender to the chef’s imagination, and the Fire-Roasted Seafood Tower, where hearth-roasted shellfish are finished off with a mix of garlic butter and chili oil.

For meat lovers, the Wagyu Experience is centered around premium Kobe beef sourced from Japanese auctions, while the Ricotta Agnolotti (named “Pillows of Love”) melts in your mouth. And for the grand finale, the Sundae Service reinvents the childhood classic.
The spot also boasts a staggering 2,500 wine list with bottles from all over the world. The libations menu features classic and modern creations, such as the IDGAF Old Fashioned (Glenfiddich 21yr, pedro ximenez, and maple reduction, amaro, chocolate truffle bitters, 24k gold) and their famous Espresso Martini tower.

Unique to the Miami location is Studio, a clandestine hideaway within the restaurant that features the laid-back comfort of a sophisticated lounge and the hidden allure of a speakeasy. This private space will open at a later date along with Eight Bar.
Maple & Ash is now open at 699 NE 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33132. For reservations and more information, visit their website here.
