Miami’s annual World Ocean Celebration will run from May 30 to June 8, hosted by ARTSail and Blue Scholars Initiative. Set against the backdrop of Miami Beach and Virginia Key, this multi-day event will feature plenty of ocean activities including a beach cleanup, discussion panels, performances and art showcases, and ocean-themed film screenings, among others. It will all culminate at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in a community-led activation.
14. Celebrate Juneteenth with music, dance and spoken word

Local non-profit Hued Songs is preparing for its annual Juneteenth Experience, honoring America’s second Independence Day. On June 18-19, the event will take over the Colony Theatre, opening with short films exploring themes of Black liberation, followed by a performance that weaves together music, movement, words and imagery. The shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.
15. Jam out to Vinyl Tuesdays at The Living Room

No Tuesday plans? Well, now you do! Every week, from 8 p.m. to close, The Living Room at Faena Beach hosts its Vinyl Tuesdays for the perfect throwback-inspired night. A vibe shift from Miami’s high-energy club scene, you can lounge, sip on craft cocktails and catch a live set by DJ Diego Ciaramella as he spins records from his personal collection.
