Just how good are you at determining the retail prices of everyday items? If you want to put that knowledge to the test, The Price Is Right is searching for new contestants, and they want to make some South Floridians very happy!
CBS Miami is asking applicants to “come on down” to Toyota of Hollywood this August for an open casting call. Two lucky semi-finalists will score a trip to Los Angeles and appear on screen for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
What is The Price Is Right?
Running for over 50 seasons, The Price Is Right isn’t just a game show — it’s a piece of television history! Hosted by Drew Carey, audience members are called up to win cash and prizes by guessing what everyday items cost.
Whether it’s kitchen appliances, a luxury vacation or a brand-new car, contestants have the chance to bid their way up to the stage and play beloved games like Cliff Hangers and Plinko. They then move on to spin the Big Wheel and compete in the Final Showcase for the big win.
How to get cast for The Price Is Right
The contestant search will be held inside the Toyota of Hollywood showroom (1841 N State Rd 7) on Friday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’ll be entirely free to attend and no purchase is necessary.
Prior to showing up, participants must download, print and complete an official application found here. This completed paperwork should be brought in to the audition, and only one application per person will be accepted.
Who can apply in the open casting call?
All participants must be 18 years or older, citizens of the U.S. and also living in the U.S. to be eligible.
How to prepare for the audition
This year, hopefuls will have approximately 30 seconds to audition in front of a camera and convince producers why they would make a great contestant. According to CBS Miami, questions such as “Why do you want to be a contestant on The Price Is Right?” may be asked.
