Calling all Pokémon trainers! Pokémon GO Night is returning to the home of the Miami Marlins, and whether you’re Team Mystic, Valor or Instinct, you won’t want to miss this one.
On Friday, August 7, fans can watch the team take on the Los Angeles Angels while enjoying their own adventure with PokéStops, Gyms and raid battles from wherever they’re sitting at loanDepot Park.
In-game bonuses at the ballpark
According to Pokémon GO, here are a few things you can find when opening the app inside the stadium:
- One-Star Raids: Pikachu will be taking over Gyms within the ballpark, and if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Pikachu or one with a Location Background.
- Lure Module Bonuses: Lures will last for one hour and attract Pokémon like Abra, Machop and Cubone. Lucky trainers might even encounter a Snorlax or Passimian (with a chance to be Shiny).
- Timed and Field Research: Spin club-branded PokéStops inside the stadium to unlock event-themed Field Research and Timed Research. Complete tasks to earn Stardust, XP, Ultra Balls, Lure Modules and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
- Exclusive avatar items: Score the home team’s cap as an avatar item by spinning a PokéStop at a ballpark during the game. If you can’t make the game, anyone can use the code MLBxPOKEMONGO2026 on the web store for an MLB-branded avatar T-shirt.
What to expect on Pokémon GO Night
This year marks the third annual Pokémon GO Night at the ballpark, as well as Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. If you grab the special ticket package, you’ll score exclusive Marlins Pokémon GO gear that matches your team. Get there early for $5 Bud Happy Hour at the Budweiser Bar before the first pitch, and stick around after the final out for spectacular postgame fireworks!
The Miami Marlins vs. Los Angeles Angels matchup is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. on August 7. LoanDepot Park is located at 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL 33125.
