We’re just weeks away from the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and fútbol fans have yet another way to take in all of the action. AMC Theatres has announced a partnership with Telemundo to bring the biggest tournament matches directly to the big screen!
Surely nothing beats the atmosphere and energy of a crowd during a game, but if you can’t make it to the stadium this summer, this is the next best thing. Billed as ‘Telemundo presenta la Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026,’ the move will utilize AMC’s nationwide network to host live, Spanish-language match broadcasts.
The screenings, featuring high-definition projection and audio, will be dedicated to the most anticipated matchups and highlight teams with massive followings in the U.S.
What’s playing at AMC
The official broadcast lineup includes group-stage clashes (such as Mexico vs. South Africa on June 11 and Scotland vs. Brazil on June 24) through extensive Round of 16 (Octavos de Final) coverage, shining a spotlight on crucial games for fan-favorites like Argentina, Colombia and Panama.
Ticket demand is expected to be intense, especially for tournament openers and those high-stakes knockout rounds.
