If the news of Smorgasburg closing its Wynwood location has come as a shock and left you scrambling to get one final bite from your favorite vendors, then this is for you! The popular food market will sadly pack its bags and vacate its space to make way for future condominiums, but it’s certainly ending on a high note.
For its final weekend, December 5 through 7, Smorgasburg will say goodbye to the neighborhood with a “Wynwood Retrospective” celebration. Timed with Art Basel, it’ll highlight the people, movements and subcultures that helped shape the Arts District through curated vendors and special programming.
What to expect
Gramps Wynwood will be joining in on the fun, taking control of the weekend-long soundtrack with local DJs like Hiltronix and Reid Waters. Meanwhile, visitors can go crate-digging for vinyl and check out clothing and collectibles at the Wynwood Garage, curated by Mids Market.
A nod to the district’s Puerto Rican roots, there will also be a Little San Juan Corner with El Bajareque, as well as an Art Workshop with Crafts and Drafts Miami. At the center of it all, of course, is over 30 of the city’s favorite street food makers offering exclusive dishes created just for the event.
“For 3.5 incredible years, you’ve shown up. From day-one regulars to weekend wanderers, you’ve made this chapter legendary. So join us as we wrap it all up with our Wynwood Farewell Weekend, ” Smorgasburg wrote on Instagram.
While this marks the end of an era for Smorgasburg in Wynwood, it’s important to emphasize that it’s not the end of the brand in the city! Organizers have stated that they are actively seeking a permanent home.

Known as the “Woodstock of Eating” with locations in New York City and Los Angeles, Smorgasburg first landed in Miami in 2022 with an eclectic mix of vendors spanning culinary traditions. More than 2 million foodies have paid a visit to the 50,000-square-foot space since it first opened, and now, it’s time for the grand finale.
The last weekend of Smorgasburg Miami will open during the following:
- Friday, December 5: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, December 6: noon to 10 p.m.
- Sunday, December 7: noon to 8 p.m.
