A hidden gem worth seeking in Coconut Grove
While its menu is practically nonexistent, you do have the choice between the bolognese lasagna or a vegetarian version with pesto, peas and green beans — both inspired by Chef Giulio Rossi’s memories of cooking with his daughter.
Both are priced at $15 and can be enjoyed at the restaurant or for pick-up if you call ahead. Si Papa prides itself on not offering delivery or third-party apps, so you truly have to be present in the moment and get a feel of that warm hospitality. They also don’t offer reservations, which is in line with 84 Magic’s ethos of simplicity.

The small variety of wines at the restaurant comes down to Italian reds and whites, including Chef’s recommended Villa Di Corlo Lambrusco. For dessert, of course, you can expect lovely tiramisu ($9). After all, what a combo lasagna and tiramisu make!
The name helms from Chef Giulio’s daughter, now a prima ballerina at the Royal Opera of Madrid, who always answered with “Si Papa” when offered more of her favorite lasagna growing up.
