Here at Secret Miami, we love to uncover the unique dining gems scattered around the city. Well, unique is certainly one way to describe the newest riverside destination to grace Miami, San Lorenzo. From the talented team behind Cotoletta in Coconut Grove — Ignacio Lopez Mancisidor, Mattia Cicognani and Andrea Fraquelli — this is the latest Italian concept to turn heads in Little River as the city’s only restaurant with no menu.

Yes, you read that right. All you have to do is make a choice between meat or seafood and leave the rest up to the chef! San Lorenzo is meant to evoke the warmth of dining at an Italian family home with beautiful views and a twist when it comes to choosing what’s on your plate.
So, what’s really on the menu?
Upon sitting down, San Lorenzo asks its guests the simple question, “Carne or pesce?” With that, a $140 prix fixe meal for two is based entirely on that decision, complete with a round of appetizers, a main course of their choice and sides. Dessert is optional for an additional charge.
If it’s just you on a night out, don’t fret! Single diners have the same options to dine for $70.
Curated by Executive Chef Giulio Rossi, who honors classic Italian recipes and cooking techniques, each dish is revealed as it arrives to the table.
“San Lorenzo is all about letting the ingredients shine,” said Chef Giulio. “By narrowing the focus, we ensure that every dish is a standout. We want guests to feel a sense of excitement and trust, knowing they’re getting the very best.”
Those among the 44-seat dining room and standing bar area can admire the cozy Venetian lighting and Lake Como-esque atmosphere, courtesy of designer Eduardo Suarez and Milan’s Alessio Bernardinito. There’s an additional 30 seats outside the terracotta terrace, which overlooks the serene river and features dim candle lighting for a romantic evening out. Che meraviglia!
What we can somewhat give you more details on are the drinks at the bar, where the spirit of 1930s Venice comes alive. Guests can expect expertly crafted Negronis, Bellinis, a Dry Vodka Martini and a robust wine list built around Italian reds.
It’s quite the gastronomic experience, without a doubt. San Lorenzo is located at 20 NE 78th St, Miami, FL 33138 and opens Wednesday through Sunday, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Those looking to make reservations can do so by calling their number at 786-828-7136.
