When R.J. Decker premiered earlier this year, fans quickly tuned in to watch the titular private investigator, played by Scott Speedman, get pulled into some of South Florida’s most unusual cases.
If you’ve watched the series and thought, “I wish I could be on there” — now’s your chance! The ABC television series is currently casting locals for the second season, and you don’t want to miss out.
What is R.J. Decker about?
Based loosely on Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy, this TV crime drama centers on a disgraced newspaper photographer named R.J. Decker, who spent time in prison due to a wrongful conviction involving a stolen camera. In an effort to start over, he becomes a private investigator in Fort Lauderdale.
The series, created by Robert Doherty of Elementary, follows Decker as he takes on cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife, his former cellmate and a shadowy woman from his past. Following a successful first season back in March, a second season just recently premiered on September 15.
