In 2024, the Michelin Guide proved it wasn’t just about the food by introducing its famous Michelin Keys for hotels across the globe. Like more commonly known Michelin Stars for restaurants, its scoring system looks for the quality of the experience, from the hotel’s consistency of service to its value for the price.
This expansion cemented Michelin as the ultimate travel authority, allowing travelers not only decide where they’ll eat whenever they visit a major city, but also use it to decide where they’ll stay! So, without further ado, here are the Miami hotels that made it among the best in the world for 2026:
The Criteria for a Michelin Key Award
The Michelin Keys are awarded based on five core elements: architectural and interior design, consistent and high-quality service, unique character, value for money and meaningful contribution to the local environment. They are categorized into three different levels:
- One Key: For hotels offering a very special stay.
- Two Keys: For hotels providing an exceptional stay.
- Three Keys: For hotels delivering an extraordinary stay.

This year, Miami boasts nine properties with Michelin Keys, spanning from a reimagined century-old landmark building in the Design District to a lush enclave in Coconut Grove. No local hotels received the Three Michelin Key distinction.
