Brickell’s popular Mexican restaurant, Pilo’s Tacos, is opening a brand new tequila garden in Wynwood!
Mark your calendars Miamians! An exciting, new dining destination will be opening its doors in Wynwood this coming Friday, February 26. Brickell’s Pilo’s Tacos is opening Miami’s first tequila garden in Wynwood and it looks pretty awesome!
At 5,500 square feet, Pilo’s Tacos’ colorful new outpost combines the restaurant’s authentic, fast-casual Mexican concept with an original and creatively-decorated dining space.
Indoors, guests will be able to enjoy Pilo’s scrumptious menu at an altar-style bar which has been richly decorated with sculptures and paintings both by local and international artists like Domingo Zapata, Vic Garcia, and Mariela Nunez, among others all of which are also up for sale.
Meanwhile, the outdoor tequila garden will function as an all-day restaurant, bar, and nighttime venue where guests will be able to enjoy Pilo’s extensive new drinks menu. The awesome new space has been equipped with two bars, VIP booths, stadium seating, a retractable roof, and a DJ booth perched atop Wynwood’s only treehouse. The garden also features a stunning mural reminiscent of Mexico City and which was created by visual artists Senkoe and Vic Garcia.
Similar to Brickell’s location, Pilo’s Wynwood menu features signature dishes like “El Jefe,” a cheese chicharron topped with cilantro and lime, plenty of tacos including al pastor, pork carnitas, beer-battered fish and vegetarian mushroom ones, as well as quesadillas, burritos and more. A new and extensive drinks menu also features a wide range of tequila, mezcal, and cocktail options, all of which guests can order for counter-service or for a sit-down meal at one of Pilo’s tables.
Pilo’s Tacos’ new flagship isn’t only about the dining experience, however. Like its sister restaurant in Brickell, this new tequila garden will also be focusing on providing new opportunities for Miami’s special needs community. Owner, Derek González’s mission for the restaurant is to empower and hire individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For that Pilo’s Tacos has partnered with Our Pride Academy, Gigi’s Playhouse, Easter Seals and Best Buddies as part of their employment strategy.
Pilo’s Tacos will be opening daily from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. starting on Friday, February 26, but if you can’t wait to try out their mouthwatering tacos, you can always get a sneak peek at what’s to come by ordering online from their website!
