1. GroundUP Music Festival: February
Created by Snarky Puppy bandleader Michael League and Miami arts veteran Paul Lehr, this three-day music fest brings artists and attendees together with an eclectic mix of genres, multiple performances, interactive masterclasses, oceanfront workshops and more. Performances are spread out across two stages at the Miami Beach Bandshell, just steps from the sands of the beach.

2. Ultra Music Festival: March
If you’re a fan of electronic music, then make sure you’ve got your yearly tickets to Ultra. The festival has come a long way from its first event in 1999, which has evolved into the epic, three-day affair that we know today. There’s multiple stages, an impressive lineup of DJs, stunning light shows and crowds upwards of 160,000!

3. Jazz in the Gardens: March
Jazz in the Gardens brings more than just jazz to the Magic City. With renown R&B, soul, reggae and gospel artists on the lineup each year — think Mary J. Blige and Erykah Badu — this event is a music lover’s dream. Local acts also take the stage at the festival, which is held for two days on the Hard Rock Stadium grounds. There’s delicious food on offer through the Food Village as well.

4. Calle Ocho Music Festival: March
Every year, the Calle Ocho Music Festival draws thousands of people for an unforgettable fiesta. Dubbed the “largest Latin music festival in the nation,” the one-day celebration spans 15 blocks with musical stages, international food, sampling sites, folkloric dances and more for all ages. Previous performers have included Pitbull, Gloria Estefan, Willy Chirino and many more. Best of all? It’s free to attend!

5. Rolling Loud: July
What started as a one-day event in a Wynwood warehouse, now has expanded into the world’s largest hip-hop festival! And as the best summer festival to keep on your radar, Rolling Loud takes over the Hard Rock Stadium for multiple days, featuring some of the biggest names in music as well as a strong showing of local acts.

6. III Points: October
Nearing its 10th anniversary, III Points is a two-day music and arts festival like no other! It boasts a truly eclectic lineup of more than 100 musicians, from hip-hop to rock to electronic, and spotlights local artists and vendors. The party goes on all night, ending in the wee hours of the morning.

7. Vibra Urbana: December
Known as the “biggest reggaeton festival in the U.S.,” Vibra Urbana brings together artists from across Latin America, including Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico and Venezuela for a mega multicultural experience. Stars that have performed in years past have included a perfect mix of global superstars and emerging artists, from Don Omar to Kiko El Crazy.

8. Art With Me: December
We love art and music here in Miami and if you think you’ve had enough of it, Art With Me is a weekend-long celebration of jaw-dropping installations and world-renowned talent. Founded by David Graziano in Tulum, Mexico as a not-for-profit organization in 2018, the festival features Burning Man large-scale interactive pieces, creativity workshops, an outdoor market, food trucks, drum circles and kids art classes.
