Florida has no shortage of gorgeous gardens perfect for basking in nature. But there’s one garden in all of the state that rises above the rest, at least according to HGTV!
The home design network recently released its list of the 50 most beautiful gardens you can visit in every U.S. state, and we’re not surprised that one beloved Coral Gables garden took the cake for our Sunshine State.
What is Florida’s most beautiful garden?
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life, there’s no denying that Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is truly a beautiful green space, and HGTV appears to agree. Here’s how the television channel describes it: “In this 83-acre tropical paradise, where rainbow-colored macaws soar above rare palms and flowering trees. The garden’s tropical fruit pavilion offers visitors a chance to taste exotic flavors rarely experienced outside the tropics.”

Founded in 1938 and named after renowned plant explorer Dr. David Fairchild, the beautiful grounds are celebrated for their extensive collection of tropical flora, including palms, cycads, flowering trees, orchids and exotic fruits. When visiting, make sure to see hundreds of spectacular butterflies at the Wings of the Tropics conservatory and wind down the misty trail of the Richard H. Simons Rainforest, which will make you feel like you’ve been transported to the Amazon!
Fairchild is also home to all kinds of yearly events, from the beloved Mango Festival to Orchids in Bloom and beyond. During the holidays, Night at the Garden transforms the sprawling grounds into a luminous nature adventure.

Right now, the garden is spotlighting family-friendly fun with its month-long magical Troll Quest and giant insect-filled Bugging Out (through Sep. 28). They’re also got big plans ahead for the delicious Taste of the Caribbean Festival on Saturday, September 13. There’s really something for everyone to enjoy at Fairchild!
