There’s a new star in town! During a live ceremony held at loanDepot Park last night, Michelin announced its award winners for the second edition of its coveted Florida Michelin Guide. And just like last year, Miami restaurants dominated with starred reviews and Bib Gourmands, compared to Orlando and Tampa.
Many 2022 star winners maintained their stars, including L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon which kept its two-star status. And a new restaurant has been added to the list this year: Tambourine Room By Tristan Brandt, which serves modern French cuisine with Asian influences, at the Carillon Miami Wellness Beach Resort in Miami Beach.
According to the guide, one star is “worth a stop,” two stars is “worth a detour,” and three stars (the most a restaurant can receive) is “worth a special journey.”
Also last week, Michelin unveiled its Florida Bib Gourmand list, recognizing more moderately priced destinations. Two Miami restaurants were added: Rosie’s in Little River and Jaguar Sun in downtown. Jaguar Sun also earned the Michelin Exceptional Cocktails Award for its bar team.
