There’s a reason why Miami Spice is one of our favorite times of the year. It’s not just because it gives us a reason to try out new restaurants and expand our culinary horizons, although that is a great perk. The true appeal lies in the fact that some of our favorite dining destinations — or ones we’ve been wanting to try for so long — have finally come within our price range.
Organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Miami Spice diners can enjoy three-course prix fixe menus at many of the city’s top restaurants for as low as $35. Participating spots this year include favorites like Michael’s Genuine, Doya, Amara at Paraiso, Cafe La Trova and Los Félix.

There’s even Michelin-worthy eateries like Cote Miami, Stubborn Seed, Beauty and the Butcher and Le Jardinier, and some first-time participants include Lafayette Steakhouse, Uchi, Palm Tree Club and Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay.

From fine dining and vegan-friendly restaurants to authentic Cuban cuisine, there’s something for literally every palate. So make room in your schedule and your belly because here’s everything you need to know about Miami Spice:

Do I need to make reservations for Miami Spice?

Due to its popularity, reservations for Miami Spice are highly recommended, or even required at times depending on the restaurant. You should expect well-known spots to fill up quickly — especially during weekends — so it is best to book in advance. When you reserve, confirm that the restaurant is offering their Miami Spice menu the day of your visit, and mention that you’ll be dining for Miami Spice when doing so.
“For over two decades, Miami Spice Restaurant Month has been a much-anticipated celebration of Miami’s best restaurants, chefs and culinary creativity, above all, the opportunity for residents and visitors alike to experience our best at a significant savings,” said David Whitaker, President & CEO of the GMCVB. “With literally hundreds of restaurants participating, Miami Spice provides the opportunity for diners to explore new restaurants in neighborhoods and food districts throughout Miami-Dade County.”

Don’t forget that Miami Beach is offering a flat $1-per-hour parking rate throughout August, making dining in the city a lot more affordable!
