Did you know that the average NFL fan spends around 429 days of their life discussing their favorite team? That’s right up there with weather, work, politics and other go-to topics. To put it into perspective, that amounts to more than a week of nonstop team chatter every year, or roughly 1.2 years over a lifetime. Talk about a loyal support system! But which fanbase talks the most?
To answer this question, the team at PromoGuy surveyed 2,000 football fans across the country to see how much time they spend talking about their favorite team. Using those responses, researchers calculated weekly, yearly and lifetime averages, based on an average fandom of 60 years. What they found is that across the league, LA Chargers fanatics take the crown for fan talk with 702 days, followed by Jacksonville Jaguars fans with 611 days and the New York Jets with 598 days.

And when that conversation turns to players, the results might not surprise you. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the name that comes up the most, aligning with the attention paid to most starting quarterbacks.
