With St. Patrick’s Day this Sunday, we’re in for a weekend full of festivities in the city. In fact, it’s time to pick out your best green outfits and unleash your Irish side at one of the many things going on this weekend, from street festivals to pub crawls and a lucky 5K run. According to a new study, nothing’s stopping Miami from putting on quite the party, as it has been named one of the best cities in the country for partying on the beloved holiday.
The study, by online casino reviewer The Casino Wizard, looked at the top 100 most populous cities in America. Multiple factors that people may consider important when planning their nights out, such as the number of bars, average hotel prices, drink prices, activities available and weather, were analyzed.
Las Vegas took the crown at No. 1, with 51 bars per 100,000 residents, while San Francisco and New York followed in second and third place respectively. In New York, the average beer costs a total of $8. Portland, Cincinnati and Miami all rounded up the top ten.
And where did Miami rank, you ask? All the way at No. 8! Key findings in the study state that the Magic City is a “fantastic destination for parties seeking a combination of relaxation and excitement” thanks to its beaches, nightlife and events. When taking weather into account, the city’s temperatures are at an average of 77.6 degrees, and there’s plenty of clubs to provide an eclectic range of music such as Club Space and LIV.
“Hotels average $160 a night, which is $7 above the average ($153.55); however, with 611 activities to partake in, Miami has something for everyone,” the study reads.
