While we all know that Miami Beach is a hotspot for ringing in the new year with legendary parties and breathtaking fireworks, a new survey by Cheaphotels.org has confirmed that the experience carries the world’s heaviest price tag. In fact, the city has secured the No. 1 spot for the most expensive hotel rates this New Year’s Eve.
To find these rankings, the study compared hotel rates across 60 major destinations worldwide, tracking the cheapest available double rooms for a three-night stay (December 30 to January 2). Only centrally-located hotels with at least a three-star rating were taken into account.
The results? Miami Beach didn’t just top the list; it outpaced iconic party hubs like Sydney’s Harbour fireworks and New York City’s ball drop in Times Square.
