The summer of Lionel Messi is upon us, as you’ve probably noticed. We’d argue that you’d have to be living under a rock if you haven’t at least caught a glimpse of all the Messi mania going on. Following a historic move to Inter Miami, the city has been consumed with all things related to the soccer superstar, with thousands of fans waiting out in the rain for the official unveiling and restaurants announcing new additions to their menus inspired by the player.
Messi has also become a source for artistic inspiration, as many murals have popped up all over the city (okay, mostly in Wynwood) in the past few weeks. And as expected, locals and visitors alike have been out in full force to photograph it all. Whether you’re looking to enjoy some colorful captures of the player gracing our city’s walls or wondering where to find a mural to get photos of your own, we’ve got you. Here are 9 of our favorite snaps and where they were taken:
📍 2303 NW 2nd Avenue, by artist Arlex Campos [NOTE: This mural has been painted over]
📍 148 NW 28th Street, by artist Maximiliano Bagnasco
📍 55 NW 25th Street (near Veza Sur), by members of Vice City 1896
📍 Fiorito, 5555 NE 2nd Avenue, by artist Claudio Picasso
