Miami’s ever-changing skyline is showing no signs of slowing down, and now there’s plans to bring a 67-story, mixed use tower to the city. Not long after announcing its first-ever residential tower in Dubai, Mercedes-Benz is setting its eyes on the U.S. — and more specifically, Brickell — for its latest project.
The German automaker has teamed up with JDS Development Group, a U.S.-based real estate company, to bring Mercedez-Benz Places to 1 Southside Park in Brickell, and construction is already underway.
At over 2.5 million square feet, the cube-shaped structure will comprise of technical silver tones on its surface, complimented by the classic Mercedes-Benz black and white. There will be 791 residences, ranging from studios to three-bedroom condominiums, with prices starting at $550,000 and maxing out at $4 million. Details on the building’s penthouses have yet to be released.
Not only is each unit said to provide spectacular views of the surrounding skyline and the ocean, but the fascinating skyscraper will feature 130,000 square feet of amenities and hospitality space; 200,000 square feet of office space; a 174-key hotel; retail shops and on-site parking.
For the project, Mercedez-Benz has enlisted the help of urban landscape designers Field Operations, who are also behind the Highline in New York and Miami’s very own The Underline. By the looks of it, it’s going to incorporate many green areas.
Whether or not you’re in the market for a luxury condo, it’s going to be exciting to see the building once it’s complete, as it is one of the largest projects currently under construction in all of Florida!
Mercedez-Benz Places is scheduled to open its doors in 2027. More information can be found here.
