A whopping $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot — one of the largest in the game’s history — is going to one lucky Floridian! The winning ticket matched all six numbers and was purchased at a Publix in Neptune Beach, a city east of Jacksonville. More specifically, the Publix located at 630 Atlantic Boulevard.
In case you want to check your tickets, the winning numbers drawn Tuesday were 13, 19, 20, 32, 33 and and the yellow ball: 14.
There was also a $2 million dollar winner in South Florida, according to Mega Millions’ website. This person purchased their ticket at a Kwik Stop in Hollywood, matching five of the numbers and paying extra for the Megaplier, which doubled their prize.
Another ticket worth $2 million was sold in North Carolina and five tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, Pennsylvania, Texas (2) and West Virginia.
Now, what’s left is for the Mega Millions jackpot winner to claim the eye-popping prize and decide how they want to receive their money. There’s the annuity option in which the $1.58 billion prize would be payed annually over the course of 30 years, or if the winner opts for a lump sum payment, they will get an estimated $783 million.
The prize must be claimed in person at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Congratulations to all the winners, whoever ya’ll are!
