A 35,000-square-foot butterfly mural just landed at Southeast Financial Center (SEFC)! Created by the internationally renowned artist Mantra, also known as Youri Cansell, the hyper-realistic creation brings massive, lifelike butterflies to SEFC’s rooftop.

Artist Mantra mentioned that Miami is the perfect setting for this new mural, as it is “a city that thrives on its vibrant mix of people and cultures—much like the butterflies in [the] mural, which represent a diverse selection of specimens.”
The striking design depicts a variety of species perched atop the garage rooftop, including the endangered Miami blue butterfly. A commentary on lost biodiversity, the lifelike renderings invite viewers to consider conservation and sustainability efforts to support these declining populations.

Located at 200 South Biscayne Boulevard, the rooftop mural is currently visible to those in neighboring residential and commercial buildings, though SEFC also held public tours earlier this month with the artist.
We’re thrilled about this stunning addition to Miami’s mural scene and will be watching for new potential tours of the expansive creation!
