The days leading up to Christmas means the return of festive decor, sparkling lights and plenty of show-stopping trees throughout the city. Now, the holiday vibes are calling us up to Delray Beach, where they’ve just flipped the switch on their enormous Christmas tree — the largest in all of the state!
A tradition since 1993, this magical mammoth is often dubbed “the best Christmas tree in Florida” and stands at 100 feet, beating out Rockefeller Center’s tree by 20 feet! It began as a 50-foot tree but was expanded in 1996 to celebrate the city’s centennial. What makes it especially unique — besides its size — is that visitors can walk inside the structure, where animated displays pay tribute to the city’s history!
Holiday Village
While last night’s massive street festival and lighting ceremony may have passed, there are plenty of jolly activities to enjoy at Delray’s Holiday Village. Prepare to feel like you’ve been whisked away to the North Pole with a lineup of activities including:
- A festive carousel
- Classic photos with Santa (find specific dates here)
- Ice skating
- Mini golfing
