🚤 What is the Winterfest Boat Parade?
Dubbed the “Best Show on H2O,” this lighted boat parade is a great way to soak up holiday lights in a uniquely coastal way and it’s completely free to watch. Each year, you’ll find more than 100 beautifully decorated boats of all sizes, from megayachts to tiny paddleboats, and over a million spectators along the 12-mile route.
🗓️ When is this year’s Winterfest Boat Parade?
The parade will be taking over Fort Lauderdale’s waterways on Saturday, December 13. The glittering procession will last around two and a half hours, and it will all kick off at 6 p.m. There will also be a preshow of non-motorized vessels at 5:30 p.m.

📍 Where is the parade taking place?
The parade travels along the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale (near the Historic Stranahan House) and proceeds east to the Intracoastal Waterway, where it continues north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.
🌊 How can I get the best views of the parade?
There are several ways to enjoy the parade, beginning with the main public viewing area at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park. This is a ticketed event that includes live entertainment, vendors and guaranteed seating.
You can also find spots along the 12-mile route like bridges, The Riverside Hotel, Shooters Waterfront, Downtowner Saloon and various parks. Many set up lawn chairs to secure a good view.
📺 Can I still watch it if I can’t attend in person?
You absolutely can! If you just can’t make it in person, you can still catch the Winterfest TV special on WSVN 7 or tune into the Winterfest Boat Parade Facebook page. There will also be a live feed on EyeOnSouthFlorida.com.
